Creature Lifecycle Test Bench v0.3

A controlled, interactive contract fixture linking combat capture, physical Podlet custody, ranch housing, breeding, ordered incubation, manual hatching, developmental views and return to battle.

Controlled combat fixture

Synthetic

Wild encounter

Activate the Core twice, then capture when the shield restriction clears. The failed-capture button tests a separate controlled outcome; no capture probabilities are claimed. Capture at positive eligible HP with a free noncombat Podlet.

Ship returning

Specimens remain in their actual combat or holding Pods until physically unloaded into a suitable caldera habitat.

Caldera laboratory — controlled fixture

Two physically housed unrelated mature specimens are needed for breeding. Existing game chronology is intentionally bypassed in this laboratory test.

Incubation nursery

Select three ordered exposures per egg; 100%-ready eggs wait indefinitely for manual hatch. Unhatched Core/phenotype outcomes remain hidden in the interface. Environmental heritability formulas are not simulated.

Development and return to battle

Power Delta — M56 engine laboratory

Recovered engine

Select a known individual to use its inherited Core identity in the original Python M56 engine. The single-Pod trial uses its real attack-role profile with test numeric values. Full Delta is a separate 3-creature research formation with synthetic companions, not your early ship's capacity.

Offline mode reproduces an engine-generated fixed-seed trial. This public-safe release provides verified, precomputed Python-engine replays only. Live Python execution is disabled because the Python source is not published. Neither mode changes creature custody or battle progression in the lifecycle fixture.

Validation boundaries

Implemented: Positive-HP eligibility; shield-hit capture lock; two finite Podlets; transfer to finite home housing; unrelated physically-present pair; unique two-egg fixture; ordered incubation; voluntary hatch; one inherited Core; distinct installed-Stone placeholders; four diagnostic growth labels.

Not implemented in the lifecycle loop: Complete Power Delta turns, random capture failures, final heredity probabilities, positional inherited profiles, genetic phenotype rendering, realistic XP/aging, equipment research, full zone simulation or story.
